What we collect

DM Collect is an Instagram content vault. When you sign in and send Instagram posts or reels to our dedicated account (@dmcollect.it), we collect:

• Your account identifier and email from your chosen sign-in provider (Google).
• Your Instagram user ID (so we can match incoming DMs to your account) and the metadata of posts you share with us: caption, thumbnail, permalink, and media type.
• AI-generated enrichment of those posts: summaries, tags, and transcripts where applicable.
• Chat messages you send within the app when asking questions about your saved content.

How we use it

Your data is used exclusively to power the DM Collect dashboard: to display your saved posts, enable search, generate AI summaries, and respond to your chat queries. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties beyond the service providers required to operate the app (Convex for database, Clerk for authentication, Vercel for hosting, OpenRouter / Anthropic for AI processing, Meta for Instagram API access).

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time (see below); once requested, all data tied to your account is removed from our database within 30 days.
